Quartania is a reliability engineering consultancy in Perth. We work with reliability engineers, maintenance superintendents and asset managers at asset-intensive sites — mining, utilities, heavy industry, infrastructure — usually on some version of the same problem. The reasoning behind the maintenance plan is scattered, and somebody has just been asked to defend it.

- A 30-minute call to work out what is actually being asked of you — the review, the audit finding, the cost challenge, the migration — and whether we are the right people for it. If we are not, we will say so and point you at someone better.
- A written scope with a fixed price where the work can be fixed-priced, and a rate and an estimate where it honestly cannot.
How we work with sites
Facilitation work — FMECA workshops, criticality sessions, strategy reviews — happens on site. The people whose knowledge you need do not hand it over to a video call, and walking the plant changes what gets asked. Analysis, data work and software happen remotely and get reviewed with you as they go. Most engagements are a mix.
We work under your confidentiality terms. If procurement needs an NDA, a supplier prequalification or insurance certificates before anyone is allowed to have a scoping conversation, mention it in your first message. Far better than discovering it three weeks in, which we have also done.
We are a small firm and we scope honestly. If your timeline needs more people than we can put on it, or the work sits outside what we are good at, you will hear that on the first call. Stretching to fit is cheap in week one and expensive in month three.
